AMVESCAP's North American offices first went live with Oracle Financials version 10.7 in 1997. By 2002, AMVESCAP had grown through mergers and acquisitions throughout the world and it offices outside of North America utilized more than a dozen different accounting instances, none of which were Oracle Financials. In Spring 2002, the company kicked off two separate projects to upgrade (or re-implement) the North American offices to Oracle Applications 11i and implement 11i for the first time in the remaining offices. These projects were successfully concluded with the close of books in Germany in January, 2004. AMVESCAP utilizes the General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, Fixed Assets, Purchasing, Inventory and iExpenses modules in a single global instance and is now in the process of upgrading from version 11.5.6 to 11.5.10.
