Porex Corporation is the world leader in porous plastics technologies with operations in the U.S., Europe, U.K. and Malaysia with their corporate headquarters located in Fairburn, Georgia. Porex develops and manufactures products used in the healthcare, life science, research, consumer and industrial markets. Some of the applications of their products include filtration, venting, wicking, muffling and surgical implants.

Porex Corporation went live with the Oracle Financials in October 2002 at their Surgical division, located in Newnan, Georgia. Following this implementation the Porous Products divisions in Fairburn, Georgia, Scotland and Malaysia came online. Since that time a new Surgical sales office in Munich, Germany has come online and we will start the implementation of the Porous Products Germany manufacturing and sales operation soon.

Porex Corporation is running Oracle ERP Suite 11.5.6 on a Sun/Solaris box. Following are some of the applications being used:

Order Management, Shipping, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Inventory, BOM and Costing.
