Oracle E-Business Suite environments grow larger and more complex as they retain more historical business transactions for longer periods. Rapid data growth is one of the biggest challenges for IT organizations. It degrades application performance, extends batch cycles and backup and recovery windows, escalates IT infrastructure costs, and increases downtime required for upgrades to the new releases. However, with stricter data retention and financial reporting guidelines imposed by regulations such as Sarbanes-Oxley Act, companies cannot simply remove historical or inactive data. This presentation will discuss how to effectively retain and manage application data to improve application performance by up to 70%, while maintaining access to data required by business users, and ensuring permanent access to data that must be retained by law.
