The Issues Forum was a new addition this month. We will continue with this forum on June and January of each year in order to get our issues to the OAUG board prior to their quarterly meetings with the executives of Oracle Corp. At each of our meetings, one of the members of the forum will update us with the progress on the outstanding issues and also collect any new issues to be presented to Oracle Corp. Our intent is to provide Oracle with some constructive feedback regarding the impact of their systems & services on their real-world customers - us!
This month the Forum focused on three issues: 1) Development 2) Pricing Strategy 3) Global Support Strategy. In attendance was Karen Gilbert, director of OAUG and Jim Collins, Executive Director of OAUG. This is a grass-roots effort to have our voices heard. We hope to replicate this format at the other local user groups too.
