O.P.T.S. - Mind Share Systems has developed a way of tracking patches applied to the Applications Instances.

Features:
Tar Management - tracks Technical Assistance Requests and associates patches to specific TARs. Patch Management - tracks special instructions and prerequisite patches required for installing patches. When applying a patch in O.P.T.S, the current patches are searched to verify that prerequisite patches have been applied. Refresh Instance - allows a copy of all patches from a Source Instance to the Target Instance. Instance Scoresheet - tracks which servers the instances are located and the software versions.

Topics will include: Creating Organization Structures, Developing Communication Plans, Documentation Templates and Training Programs, and Designing a Help Desk that Works. Bruce will demonstrate Customer Care, Support, and Service Contracts. The ability to handle an incoming call, search the knowledge base for possible resolutions and verify that the service to be provided is supported by a customer service contract.
