Ed Beckett and Julio Medina of United Parcel Service will chronicle their implementation of the Oracle Accounts Payable and Purchasing modules, and discuss their future e-procurement initiatives. They have implemented Accounts Payable, Purchasing, Self Service Purchasing, OFA, ADI, Project Accounting, and General Ledger (Shell). They have recently upgraded to Oracle 11.03, and SSP 3.0 domestically. They are currently implementing General Ledger (Full) and looking to deploy the Accounts Payable and Purchasing modules in Europe. Oracle's new Advanced Planning and Scheduling solution is being released in 11i. There are four products: Demand Planner, Advanced Supply Chain Planning, Manufacturing Scheduling, and Global Available-To-Promise. The breakout will focus on a features overview of these products as well as some initial learnings from our implementation with one of the first companies implementing the new solution.
