IV. OAUG
News
Karen
Brownfield, board member of OAUG, shared upcoming conference information. The Independent Oracle Users Group (IOUG) (formerly
International Oracle Users Group), the Oracle
Applications Users Group (OAUG) and Quest International Users Group (Quest)
are combining to host one conference named COLLABORATE 07.
COLLABORATE 07
Presented by IOUG, OAUG and Quest
April 15-19, 2007
Mandalay Bay Resort and Convention Center,
See http://www.oaug.org/conferencesandeducation/conferences/2007/collaborate07/
The OAUG
Forum at COLLABORATE 07 will be focused on education. There will be more
“conferences within a conference”. There will also be some specialized and
intense training for technical attendees. The Geos and SIGs will be more
involved in choosing content. The OAUG Education Committee’s content managers
will be working with each SIG to help predetermine which topics must be covered
during COLLABORATE 07. Geos and SIGs will sponsor papers which fall within
the predetermined topics. Papers and panels will be chosen from the call for
papers database to fill the topics. Should a topic not be filled by the
submitted papers, the content managers will actively begin searching for a
paper that will fill the need.
The call for presentations is now open and the
deadline for submission is November 19, 2006. The OAUG seeks presentations on
all Oracle Applications, including Oracle E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft, Siebel,
Oracle Retail and Portal Software, as well as applications technology. Please
consider sharing your knowledge with others and submit your presentation today!
The OAUG is offering free,
easy-to-access educational, training and networking opportunities
for the Oracle family of applications users — OAUG Training Tuesdays and
OAUG
Community Thursdays.
