Presentation: "Case Studies: Update and Learnings from Seven Corporate Implementations of Enterprise Planning and Budgeting (EPB)"
Speaker(s): Steve Jolly, Gecis - Formally "GE Capital International Services"

In 2006, there will be tremendous growth in the implementation of Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) tools across all types of industries. This growth can be measured in many ways including the number of Business Intelligence users (121%), to Planning users (53%) to the number of Dashboard and Scorecard users (90%). Gecis has witnessed this growth first hand both internally and across all business units it serves across all industries.

Oracle has released its newest EPM product, Enterprise Budgeting and Planning, in advance of this anticipated growth and has also provided an end-of-life support date for the Oracle Financial Analyzer and Oracle Sales Analyzer products. Many Oracle ERP customers are now assessing if Oracle's offerings are the right solution for their future EPM systems.

Gecis has been involved in assisting 11 businesses exceeding $10b in revenue in the assessment of Oracle's EPB versus OFA and Hyperion. While there is no "one size fits all" EPM solution, Gecis will present the findings of our assessments and of our CRP implementations.

Until this year, Gecis served exclusively as an international shared services division across all 3000 of GE's businesses providing business process and technology services. Business processes are provided from 5000 F&A CPAs and professionals, to 4500 procurement and supply chain professionals, to business analytics with over 900 PhDs and analysts. Technology Services include the deployment and support of Oracle ERP with over 1000 Oracle Applications professionals, an additional 3000 professionals assessing, deploying and supporting surrounding systems such as Budgeting & Planning tools.

Today, Gecis has over 200 Oracle Application professionals in the Atlanta office.
