Presentation: Enterprise Asset Management, the Maintenance Management module of Apps

AGY replaced it's legacy maintenance software called MP2 with Oracle Enterprise Asset Manager. AGY was already using many features of MP2 and found that EAM provided the same functionality and better integration with Oracle Purchasing, Accounts Payable and Inventory. As part of this implementation, they upgraded from Oracle version 11.5.8 to 11.5.10 to take advantage of recent improvements with EAM. In addition, AGY implemented two interfaces to EAM which allowed the creation of Work Orders from these systems, which increased maintenance productivity and responsiveness. As well, they implemented Oracle Alerts to send text messages to pagers for emergency work orders. EAM was implemented in both of AGY's manufacturing locations and the entire project took from August 2005 until February 2006. AGY will discuss key success factors of the project, lessons learned, and the benefits gained from the implementation.
