Break out sessions are small informal groups that meet 11:00 - 12:00. There are usually four breakout sessions per meeting, one of which has a technical focus. A formal presentation is not required although, is sometimes used.

A facilitator is present to share knowledge on a specific topic or, on a more informal basis to keep the discussion focused and helpful.

Responsibilities of a facilitator:

• Be knowledgeable of the topic
• Coordinate discussions
• Be prepared with some topics if the discussion lags
• Optionally, offer guidance if requested
• Find a comparable substitute if cancelling
