I. Presentation: "ADI - Application Desktop Integrator"
John Martin, Oracle
John discussed the latest release of Oracle Applications Desktop Integrator (A.D.I. 3.1) previously
know as G.L.D.I. It has been renamed because the new version has been expanded to work across other Financial
applications modules. A.D.I. is a desktop tool that allows users to link to
respective areas of the applications from their machines without requiring full access to the applications. It
also provides users with familiar data entry user interfaces (i.e. Excel) for journal entries, access to all
standard and FSG reports formats and outputs, and drill-down analysis for those reports with the new Analysis
Wizard. John demonstrated how users are able to submit budgets and journal entries from excel, create new and
run existing Oracle reports with a variety of outputs, and analyze those report outputs with drill-down
capabilities. John discussed the Budget/Journal Wizard, Request Center, and the Analysis Wizard options
available in A.D.I. 3.1.
After the presentation, a panel comprised of Steve Bradley, Brad Eldredge and Alan Greene discussed implementation and production issues related to the use of G.L.D.I.
II. Presentation: "Oracle Alert in Finapps"

New Meeting Time!
Future meetings will be held on Friday mornings in an effort to increase attendance. Pastries and networking
will be 9:00 - 9:30, presentations will be 9:30 - 12:00. Our next meeting will be hosted by Computer Systems
Authority on June 19. Check the web page at www.atloaug.org for details. R.S.V.P. via e-mail to
drincon@csac.com.
In order to poll the user community as to how the Atl-OAUG could better serve their needs, a survey will be distributed via e-mail and snail mail. Special thanks to Steve Bradley of KPMG for creating the survey and to Marilyn Becker of Consultis who will collect the survey and compile the results.
The Atl-OAUG has exceeded their 1998 budget with the mailing of the January and March newsletters. We have four newsletters remaining in 1998 and are looking for sponsors to cover the cost of copying and postage. In exchange, the sponsor will receive credit in the newsletter for their contribution.
Speakers are needed for future meetings. To volunteer, send an e-mail to bcarlton@sprynet.com.
Oraapps list server can now be viewed at their new web site rather than subscribing and receiving numerous e-mails. See link to it via the www.atloaug.org web site.
