Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) serves as a key foundation and enabler for (enterprise) grid computing. It harnesses the power of multiple low-cost computers to serve as a single large computer for database processing, and provides the only viable alternative to large scale SMP for all types of applications. Deployment costs are reduced through the use of commodity servers and storage, and a tightly integrated software stack. Continuous access to critical business information is assured, even in the event of hardware and software failures. This break out session will focus on Oracle 11i Applications on RAC.
