Speaker Topics
Topics should be focused on using the applications or demonstrating a new module. Lessons learned from a functional standpoint are excellent. Topics should NOT lean toward selling a product or service.
Acceptable examples:
- Showing a new tip or new functionality on an old module that doesn't cost additional money
- Member spotlight presentations from companies doing a new install or upgrade
- Demonstrating a newly released module
Speaker Responsibilities
- Provide a presentation in PowerPoint or comparable software.
- PowerPoint slides should use limited graphics to keep file small. Should be self-explanatory for users viewing it on the web page.
- Allow posting of presentation to www.atloaug.org web site
- Upon accepting a speaker role, email to asnyder@NOODLEit.com a descriptive paragraph of your topic to be used to publicize the meeting via the list server and postal mail
- Email presentation to the following individuals on the Monday prior to the meeting
- Coordinator asnyder@NOODLEit.com
- Host for the meeting
- Web master - mweiss@solutionbeacon.com
- Arrive at the meeting no later than 8:30 a.m.
- Bring laptop to meeting to do presentation or, forward presentation to another speaker with access to a laptop
- Keep presentation within the allotted time specified on the agenda
- In the event of an emergency causing you to cancel, find a comparable replacement speaker for the same topic
- Optional - Provide your contact information on the final presentation slide so users may contact you with additional questions
