Custom reports are integral part of an Oracle Implementation. The implementations with minimal or no amount of customizations have reporting requirements that require developing custom reports. One of the tools that Oracle provides for custom report development is Reports 6i. Anyone who has developed reports using report 6i dread the layout editor and lack of flexibility in terms of look and feel. With 11.5.10, Oracle came out with a new tool called 'XML Publisher' which alleviates some of those pains.

This session will give an overview of XML publisher and how you can simplify your custom report development by using XML Publisher with Reports 6i. We will cover the following:
