Presentation: "Performance Tuning of 11i"

This presentation will touch on the techniques commonly used in performance tuning or Oracle 11i. These will include all from poor code identification, space utilizations, hardware requirements, resource requirements, resource contentions, middle tier tuning, and client tuning. Uncommon things to be touched upon wil include Apache, JSP, JServ, and Mobile Server tuning. Other interesting aspects of the presentation will include TCP/IP, Unix, Clustering and Load Balancing.

Biography:
Michael has 10 years of the industry experience, including working for companies like IBM, HP and Baker Hughes. He graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India, Masters in Engg from University of Houston, Houston, Teax and Masters in Computer Science from Monash Univeristy, Melbourne, Australia. Much of his work has been with deployment of critical software at airports, including Vancouver, BC, Newcastle, UK, London Heathrow and Gatwick, and Basel, Switzerland. ERP Implementations include Citipower, Melbourne, Australiza and Harmonic Inc, Sunnyvales, California. His expertise includes Unix and Cluster Admin., Oracle DBA, ORacle Apps DBA and Java Developer. He holds 2 US Patents and several International Patents (British, Norwegian, Canadian).
